Peter Chasteen from the group Urban Movement, Inc., performs a parkour movement called a flagpole as he hangs from the covered area of Tranquility Park Saturday, July 2, 2011, in Houston. The sport, originating from France, combines the idea of scaling obstacles by running, climbing, and jumping. The idea is to maneuver through obstacles in the most efficient way possible using only the body. It can be practiced anywhere, although an area with more obstacles is preferred. Houston's Parkour group is composed mostly of young men aged 15 - 22 as it continues to grow throughout the country. ( Cody Duty / Houston Chronicle )
